Privacy notice for Realtek Connect+ website inquiries.
This first-version website collects only the information needed to respond to Realtek Connect+ business inquiries and early access requests. When ANALYTICS_ENABLED is true, it also uses first-party SQLite analytics for basic site measurement. When documentation search is enabled, it uses OpenAI to embed search queries and generate source-grounded answers.
Data we collect
The contact form can collect name, company, email, area of interest, and an optional message. Analytics event rows are limited to page_view, click_cta, scroll milestone, and engaged-duration events, canonical page or CTA keys, coarse scroll percent or engagement duration when applicable, referrer origin only, and a short-lived ephemeral session id. Analytics does not collect names, email addresses, company names, form messages, raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs, or account identifiers, and it does not use cookies, localStorage, or other persistent browser storage in the MVP.
How we use the data
We use submitted information to respond to inquiries, plan product discussions, understand interest in Realtek Connect+ services, and protect the website from spam or abuse. First-party SQLite analytics is used only when `ANALYTICS_ENABLED=true` to understand coarse traffic source, page engagement, site performance, CTA conversion, content effectiveness, product-marketing improvement, and service quality observation for this website.
Retention
Website leads are intended to be retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for an active business discussion or required operational record. Raw analytics event rows are retained for 90 days by default through `ANALYTICS_RETENTION_DAYS`. Aggregate metrics may be retained longer if implemented, capped, and documented separately.
Access, correction, or deletion requests
To request access, correction, or deletion of submitted inquiry data, or to ask about first-party analytics, contact privacy@example.com. Replace this placeholder address with the official privacy contact before public launch. Because analytics uses an ephemeral session id and no account identifier, the site may not be able to reliably map a raw analytics row back to a specific person.
Local brand video
The homepage brand film is hosted by this website as a local MP4 asset. The video player does not create a YouTube iframe or contact YouTube services. The site does not load third-party analytics services, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.
Documentation search
When SEARCH_ENABLED=true, documentation queries are sent to OpenAI to create query embeddings. If matching website sources are found, the query and retrieved snippets are sent to the OpenAI Responses API to generate an answer limited to those sources. If no matching documentation is found, the answer model is not called. Raw search query text is not stored in analytics event payloads.
Internal access
Lead review is protected by an admin token. Admin pages are excluded from the sitemap and are marked noindex.
Legal review
This notice is a GDPR-lite readiness statement for the website prototype. It is not a complete legal compliance package, and analytics records may still be personal data under applicable law. It should be reviewed before public launch. Public analytics enablement stays blocked until the disclosure updates in issues #52 and #54 are both in place.
